IDENTITIES
Since I cannot direct athletes during a game for specific poses or movements to fit my artistic vision, I began exploring their identities off the field. These athletes are not only dynamic subjects but also my close friends and peers, each with a unique personality that shifts subtly depending on the setting, their outfits, and the items they carry. Capturing how their character adapts within different environments has become an exciting, creative pursuit for me. To bring out the full depth of both the subject and their surroundings, I used a lighting technique known as "overpowering the sun with flash," balancing natural light with the controlled intensity of the Godox V860iiis flash on a light stand, remote controller, and my camera. This combination allowed me to capture both the essence of their individuality and the character of their surroundings.
